RBS WorldPay Announces Data Security Compromise

First Capital Federal Credit Union has been notified of another fraud alert.  Our VISA processor informed us that some of our VISA cards may have been compromised due to an unknown suspect gaining access to RBS WorldPay’s database.  It is important that you review your account through cu@home and review your monthly statements.  Please report any unusual activity to us immediately. Contact a member service representative at 717-767-5551 or 800-893-2328, if you have any further questions or notice any unusual activity on your account.

 

Heartland Payment Systems Breach

We received a notification from our VISA processor informing us that some of our VISA check cards may have been compromised due to an unknown suspect gaining access to Heartland Payment Systems database. First Capital has notified the members impacted by this incident.   

 

Even though we have taken these steps to avoid fraud, it is important that you review your account through cu@home and review your monthly statements.  Please report any unusual activity to us immediately. Phishing Scam Alert

Please be aware of an increase in public reports of phishing scams related to recent bank acquisitions. Due to an increase in this activity, First Capital would like to remind our members to remain cautious when receiving unsolicited email that could be a potential phishing scam.

Phishing scams may appear as requests for you to verify personal and bank or credit union account information, enroll in additional services, or activate new security features. The email messages may contain a link that, when clicked, will take you to a fraudulent web site that appears to be a legitimate web site.  You may also be asked to provide personal information or that can further expose them to future compromises. Additionally, these fraudulent web sites may contain malicious code.
