Our top priority, at First Capital FCU, is to provide the convenience of online services and the privacy and security you rely on in traditional financial transaction methods.

CU@HOME and other online application(s) have been structured using industry standard security features:

1. First Capital FCU web applications use secure communications. First Capital will allow only browsers that support 128 bit Secure Socket Layers (SSL). SSL ensures that electronic messages between your browser and First Capital cannot be read by eavesdroppers even if they were to be intercepted.
2. CU@HOME will require multi-factor authentication. The first time you log into cu@home you will be requested to choose an image (picture) and select a security phrase. You will also be asked to respond to three "challenge" questions. Finally, you will indicate whether you want to register the PC you are working on. You do NOT go through this enrollment process each time you log on. From this point forward, you will provide your PIN and password. However, the picture and security phrase you chose will appear so you know you really are at our website.
3. CU@HOME Applications have built-in timers that will terminate your session if you have not actively used an application for 15 minutes.
4. First Capital uses a state of the art firewall to protect member information stored within our systems from outsiders. A firewall controls traffic between the Internet and our internal network.
5. First Capital practices a defense in depth strategy utilizing best of bread technology and key relationships with industry leading vendors.
